Diptych: Bud
These three were a particular challenge to figure out, as in order to get the color differentiation of the line and the plant mass on the black paper, I had to first print the design in white, and then print the red on top.

Confrontation.
This piece was fun, as I experimented with half-flooding the screen to give the print a blood-spatter effect as it dissipated towards Wilbur.

What a fun project! I got the chance to create these screenprints for a class my senior year of college, depicting a later story arc in an original graphic novel concept I've been toying with for the better part of three years. The protagonist, Wilbur, is a timid space botanist who finds himself wrapped up in a cross-universal adventure to find his friend (and pet's) family, among other things. In this arc, Wilbur has found a plant that he believes could replace his battle-lost arm, although it slowly creeps into his mind and pushes Wilbur out of control.
